Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) is a federal program that helps parents purchase food for their children who are eligible for free or reduced price school meals. This program includes assistance during the Summer 2023.
➢ If your child was already approved to receive free or reduced meals for the 2022-2023 school year, no action is needed at this time. Please review this flier for details on how you will receive your Summer P-EBT benefit.
➢ If you did not apply for free and reduced meals earlier this year, there is still time to do so even though the school year is ending. If you submit an application by June 30, 2023 and your children are approved, your information will be submitted to the State of NJ in order to receive your Summer P-EBT benefit. Please note: applying now will only count for the 2022-2023 school year and Summer 2023. You will need to reapply for free/reduced meals for the
2023-2024 school year.
How do I apply?
■ Log into the Realtime Parent Portal, click "Meal Application", and submit one application that lists all of the children in your household.
■ Fill out a hard copy application and return it to Michelle Treanor in the Department of Special Services, 51 West Cliff Street, Somerville.
