Somerville High School is so proud to announce our six National Merit Commended Students! Congratulations to Ashley Confer, Paige Dickson, Tegan Dingwall, Manav Patel, Jake Perrine, and Matthew Senate! These outstanding students placed among the top 50,000 in the 2026 competition by taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Calling all engineers, tinkerers, and programmers! The SHS Robotics Team will be hosting our 5th annual Robotics Day. Students entering 8th - 12th grade can come and get a taste of what it's like to solve problems using robots. At the conclusion of the event, teams will put their creations to the test in competition with a chance to win cool prizes. The event will be on Saturday August 23rd, 2025 from 8AM-6PM. No prior experience is necessary! Participation is free and pizza will be provided.

Be a Voter! Announcing NJ High School Voter Registration Week April 6-12th, 2025!
Congratulations to our Indoor Percussion Ensemble, aka Viper, on winning the USBands State Championships this past weekend! The ensemble scored a 94.1, securing all captions by nearly 5 points of the other ensembles. This also marks the highest ever score in school history!
