Summer is meant to be a break from school, but not from reading!  Reading over the summer can reduce stress, expand your vocabulary, strengthen your writing skills, deepen your empathy, and limit summer learning loss.  For all of these reasons, we present to you our Summer Reading Assignment 2026.

Here’s How It Works:

  1. Select a genre on your choice board.

  2. Read a book from that genre. Click this link for book recommendations.

  3. Complete a google response form for each text read

  4. Be ready to share your summer reading choices with your classmates on Summer Reading Friday in September 2026.
